Invictus Gaming is the first LPL team to reach the symbolic 10,000 kill mark in the Chinese league.

It is often said that the collective is paramount on League of Legends and that a team without teamplay cannot reach the top level, the performance achieved on this Sunday, June 14 by the Invictus Gaming team will surely bring water to the mill of this old adage.

TheShy and his playmates played their second game of the Summer Split this morning against Suning, a match that ended in a 2-0 victory.

It was during this last meeting that Invictus Gaming crossed the symbolic 10,000 kills mark in LPL, making this Chinese team the first team in the history of the league.

Considered one of the title favourites, Invictus Gaming has spent some time as the best team in the world, mainly by winning the League of Legends World Championship in 2018.

In recent months/years, Invictus Gaming has won the 2018 Demacia Cup and the 2019 Spring Split playoffs; in the last segment, she finished first overall in the LPL standings at the end of the regular season, but lost in the semifinals of the playoffs (final score 3-1 against Top Esports).

On March 11, IG’s midlaner, Song ‘Rookie’ Eui-jin, crossed the symbolic 2000 kills mark in LPL, making the Korean competitor the second player in league history to reach that milestone after Uzi, the now-retired Royal Never Give Up botlaner.
